Gadjo Guitars is a jazz band featuring Nigel Date on guitar, Cameron Jones on guitar and Stan Valacos on double bass. The band loves to swing in the style of Django Reinhardt. Perfection. For some reason images of Cinema Paradiso keep flashing through my mind while listening to this. There are parallel elements at play: simple yet rich, reminiscent yet timeless, beautiful yet complex storytelling on offer here. Thanks Jon. Just what the doctor ordered. Oh yeah, the balance is perfect; up close and extremely personal. The next best thing to hearing the trio live at a favourite cafe with a selection of favourite friends.
